A New Generation of World Changers

How does Youth Action Collective work?

Find out everything you need to know about how our organization works.

What age range does Youth Action Collective serve?

We welcome children from 2 to 14 years old along with their families. It’s important to read through each service opportunity closely as the exact age ranges may vary for each project. For example, if a service opportunity indicates a minimum age of 8, siblings 7 and under would not be allowed to participate in that project.

What types of service opportunities do you offer?

Youth Action Collective offers two service options: “On-site” and “Anywhere.” Read through the information below for details on each and to determine which is the best fit for you.

How do I sign up for a volunteer opportunity?

Visit either our ANYWHERE or ONSITE webpage and scroll until you find the sign up. It’s as easy as choose, click, serve.

What happens after I sign up on the website?

What happens next depends on whether you signed up for ONSITE or ANYWHERE.

ANYWHERE: You will receive an email within 5 minute of signing up for the activity that contains a link to a brief lesson that can accompany the service project as well as specific directions for the project. Many of the projects also include a video example as well!

ONSITE: When you sign up for an onsite activity you will receive ticket confirmation within 5 minutes of signing up. Three days prior to the onsite activity you will receive an email reminder with additional details. You will also receive an additional reminder the day before the onsite activity.

What happens if my family or group doesn’t have time to complete the entire lesson that accompanies the ANYWHERE project?

At Youth Action Collective, our lessons are designed with flexibility in mind—so families can choose to engage at the level that works best for them. Whether you only have a few minutes or want to dive deep, each activity is broken down into simple steps that can be scaled up or down based on your time and interest.

You’re welcome to do as much or as little as you’d like. Even just completing the service activity alone is a meaningful step! But the more of the lesson you explore—like discussion prompts, reflection questions, or extension activities—the more your child will grow in empathy, understanding, and connection to the community.

What happens if I sign up for an ANYWHERE project and for some reason cannot complete it within the timeframe given or no longer want to complete the project?

We completely understand that life gets busy and plans can change! If you’re unable to complete the project by the suggested date or decide it’s not the right fit for your family right now, that’s absolutely okay. There’s no pressure or penalty—just participating in the conversation and showing interest in service is valuable in itself.

Youth Action Collective is here to make service accessible and flexible for families, and we’ll be excited to have you join us when the timing is right!

How can I get involved in Youth Action Collective if I don’t have children 2-14?

We are always looking for volunteers to help organize On-Site volunteer opportunities or be a collection point for Anywhere project materials. Youth Action Collective welcomes all donations; monetary, materials, or the gift of time. Please contact us if you are interesting in getting involved!
