A New Generation of World Changers

On-Site Activities

On-site activities are a great way to connect your child to the community and recognize practical ways to serve in the world around them. When attending these events there will be a short lesson given by a Youth Action Collective volunteer followed by the service activity. This makes the experience more meaningful and impactful for all those participating.

These service opportunities will take place at a specific location and time. There are limited registration spots for these activities to ensure the event is impactful and helpful to our community partner.

When registering for on-site activities please read through the event details closely paying special attention to age and group size restrictions. We cannot allow any exceptions for age, even if there is an older sibling attending. Please note, each child registering must have at least one responsible adult with them. There can be up to four children per adult when registering.

On-Site Service Activities

Ticket prices are $0 for every activity. Tickets allow Youth Action Collective to control the number of volunteers for each activity. Please select a ticket for each person attending the activity, children and adults.

Please read the project descriptions carefully before reserving tickets. Pay special attention to dates, times, and age restrictions.

If you have any questions about any of our events, feel free to contact us anytime at hello@youthactioncollective.com

Community Helpers: Labor Day Gift

Celebrate Labor Day by saying thank you to a community helper! Volunteers will learn about the many people who help make our community a better place, then create a special thank-you basket filled with snacks, drinks, and a handmade card. All supplies—including baskets, treats, drinks, and card-making materials—will be provided, so all you need to do is show up and assemble your basket. When you’re finished, you’ll take your basket with you to give to a community helper of your choice as a small thank-you for all they do!

Beehive Snacks and Crafts

Join us for a joyful service experience as volunteers spend meaningful time with residents at Beehive. Volunteers will begin by helping serve residents from a special snack cart, offering a variety of treats and bringing smiles room to room.

After enjoying a snack together, volunteers will sit alongside residents to complete a simple craft activity. This time is all about connection—sharing conversation, creativity, and companionship while working side by side.

This project offers a wonderful opportunity to brighten someone’s day through small acts of kindness, creating moments of joy and building relationships that matter.

**Extra Note: This service opportunity takes place in a memory care setting, which can be a sensitive and sometimes confusing experience for younger volunteers. Interactions with residents may require patience, flexibility, and understanding. We encourage parents to consider their child’s comfort level and readiness when deciding to participate. Youth Action Collective recommends this activity for volunteers ages 9 and older.

Paul’s Plan: Pocket Full of Sunshine

Join us for a creative, hands-on service project where families will design and assemble small, summer-themed Perler bead creations to share encouragement with others. Volunteers will use colorful beads to create simple, pocket-sized designs—such as suns, flowers, or positive symbols—that can serve as a small reminder of hope and care.

Each completed creation will be paired with a small candy treat and included in backpacks distributed by Paul’s Plan Ministries to individuals who have recently been released from jail.

This project is a meaningful way for families to use creativity to spread kindness and encouragement during a time of transition. All materials will be provided—just come ready to create, serve, and make a positive impact through small but thoughtful gestures.

Teacher Welcome Signs

Join us for a creative and meaningful service project as families come together to design and decorate “Welcome Back to School” yard signs for teachers. All signs and coloring materials will be provided—just bring your creativity and excitement to get started!

Volunteers will have the opportunity to create bright, encouraging messages that celebrate and support teachers as they head into a new school year. Once completed, families can choose to deliver their signs to their local school to display for teachers or proudly display them at home to show appreciation and school spirit.

This is a fun, low-prep way for families to give back, spread encouragement, and kick off the school year with kindness and creativity.
